The rosewood back and sides have light to dark stripes with a little bit of ripple in the grain towards the lower bottom. The mahogany neck profile is a slim taper with not a lot of shoulder but allows the player to wrap their thumb around the neck very easily. Martin's thin line Gold Plus pickup captures the resonance and depth that this D 28 has to offer acoustically.
